About the workshop

In this workshop, participants will explore how coding can be used in musical, performative, and literary arts through tools like LivecodingYoutube, Hydra, Inverse.website, and Sonic Pi. They will discover the expressive potential of code in collaborative settings, combining improvised writing, music, and networked elements.

Building on Expressing Oneself Through Code: Coding Beyond the Screen, we will also explore how everyday life can inspire data, visuals, and sounds in creative coding. This approach fosters personal expression while creating shared, imaginative worlds—spanning horror, comedy, sci-fi, and fantasy.

Participants will see how coding can generate names, characters, languages, histories, and other intricate elements, while also being interpreted through non-traditional, cross-disciplinary forms of expression.

About the instructor

Kofi Oduro (Illestpreacha) is a creative coder and experience facilitator who merges diverse media to deliver unique encounters that foster dialogue, reflection, and interaction. With over a decade of experience in performance, event production, and audiovisual creation, he draws inspiration from unexpected creative initiatives, weaving them together to craft cohesive and engaging experiences for audiences.
