About the installation

At the crossroads of science and art, Waves creates a surreal dialogue between human and water, an exchange of frequencies.

In darkness, a suspended body of water waltzes on its own, never stopping : pulsing, deforming, shifting into hypnotic shapes, as if frozen in weightlessness. Left to itself, she already reveals what we no longer take the time to see: that water is alive, and that it is precious. She does not merely ask to be watched: she asks to be addressed. Water is not a resource : it is a living jewel, and Waves reveals her as such: precious, vulnerable, infinitely responsive to our presence.

The public dialogues with her through voice, captured and translated in real time, it drives the form of the sculpture. She listens. She responds, not with words, but with movement, with resonances that fill the space like echoes of a forgotten language we suddenly recognize.

But this presence, far from harmless, troubles the waters: the soothing rhythm breaks, the splendor fractures, for the space of a breath, revealing, with disarming simplicity, the scale of impact a single, small gesture can have on a resource we believe to be inexhaustible.
